Eco blog:

As we continue to nurture our eco-friendly initiatives at our school, we're excited to share with you some updates on our recent activities and progress. Here's what we've been up to:

  1. Tending to Our Tomatoes: We're thrilled to report that our tomato plants are thriving! With careful attention and nurturing, our tomatoes are growing strong, and we anticipate a bountiful harvest in the near future.

  2. Challenges with Peppers: Unfortunately, our attempts to germinate peppers haven't been as successful as we hoped. We're actively troubleshooting and exploring alternative methods to ensure our pepper plants get the best start possible.

  3. Beautifying Our Front Beds: Our dedicated team has been hard at work, weeding and tidying up our front beds to create a welcoming and visually appealing environment for all who visit our school.

  4. Blooming Spring Bulbs: The arrival of spring brings a burst of colour to our surroundings as our spring bulbs come into full bloom. It's a delightful sight for both students and staff alike.

  5. Allotment Plots Preparation: On dry days, we've been busy preparing two of our allotment plots, digging them over and getting them ready for planting. We're excited about the possibilities these plots hold for growing a variety of fruits and vegetables.

  6. Progress with Our Greenhouse: Our plans for a greenhouse are well underway. This addition to our eco-friendly initiative will provide a controlled environment for nurturing delicate plants and extending our growing season.

  7. Potato Update: Our potato patch is progressing nicely, and it's time for another layer of compost to keep them healthy and thriving. We're eagerly anticipating the first harvest of these delicious tubers.

We're in need of plant pots and trays for our school's gardening projects. If you have any to spare, please consider donating them to support our eco-friendly initiatives. Your contribution will make a big difference! Thank you for your generosity. As always, we're grateful for your continued support and encouragement as we work towards creating a more sustainable and environmentally conscious school community.
