World Book Day - Thursday 3rd March
On 3 March 2016, it was World Book Day, a day that celebrates the joy and value of books and reading. Both children and adults looked amazing as they came to school dressed as book characters. There were prizes for dressing up as a book character.
Visit to Saint Mary's Stadium - A diary Extract by Caitlin Hennings Y4
Today I went to the Saints Stadium. It was really, really amazing. When we got off of the minibus we met Brian and Tina, who are the Tour guides.
Then we went to the very top floor. We went where the reporters sat. We also went to the changing rooms where the saints got changed and where their opponents get changed. Mrs. Short took lots of group photos. We also went to see all the gifts that Saints got and all the trophies that Saints won. Amazingly we got to pretend to be some Saints players.
This group of children raised over £1500 in a sponsored event that raised money for the Saints Foundation and the school. The tour was part of their prize for raising such an impressive amount! Well done Mansel Park!
Welcome to the gallery! Please enjoy browsing the children’s work.
