On Wednesday 3rd March, World Wildlife Day launched their 2021 theme “Forests and Livelihoods: Sustaining People and Planet” as a way to highlight the central role of forests, forest species and ecosystems services in sustaining the livelihoods of hundreds and millions of people globally. We celebrated World Wildlife with an assembly to raise awareness of the many beautiful and varied forms of wild fauna and flora and to raise awareness of the multitude of benefits that their conservation provides to people.
As part of this, the New Forest National Park are searching out solutions for the climate and nature emergency. They have challenged us to take notice of climate and nature heroes we may see when out and about, and consider how they are helping out planet.
