Nursery blog:

This week our three year-old friends have been exploring the traditional tale 'The three little pigs'. We have engaged in many activities linking with this theme, including building structures using straws, sticks and bricks, discussing our families and role-playing the traditional story. We are great at saying, "No, no, no, not by the hair on my chinny chin chin" and using our angry voice to say, "I'll huff and I'll puff and I'll blow your house down".

Our two year old friends have continued with the theme of winter, this week we have explored gloop, music and movement to the classical music by Tchaikovsky 'The Nutcrackers'. We have also been learning how to put on our winter warmers, including wrapping ourselves in a blanket and listening to the story 'Squirrels snowman' by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler. This book is part of a series of books called 'Tales from Acorn Wood' by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler. We are using this series to engage the children and support the development of a love of reading.
