Pip and Pap EYFS Workshop

Pupils and parents on Year R enjoyed a Pip and Pap Phonics Family workshop together this week, reading the Pink Phase story "The Best at Chess" together!

The story focussed on the letter-sound correspondences /ch/ /sh/ /th/ and /ng/.

Pupils read sentences such as "Tisp spots that a chess contest is on," and "She gets Casp's bishop and blocks his king! She is the chess champ!"

Parents and pupils then were able to play chess for themselves outdoors in the beautiful sunshine, and make their own chess board patterns together!
