Nursery blog:
This week our 3 year old friends have been looking into keeping healthy, gaining a better understanding of the healthy food choices we can make and what we can do to be active. We have all explored a variety of different movements in our hall sessions, we tried spider crawls, galloping, rolling like a sausage, marching fast and slow and attempted a teddy bear roll. We have looked at healthy food choices and separated foods into healthy choices and not healthy choices.
Our two year old friends have continued to explore Spring and looked at more signs of spring through a sensory experience. We have also been exploring the mud patch and spring painting using flowers as our paint brushes.
To celebrate VE day we have had the opportunity to explore a few enhancements to our busy bee play. We could create; a red, white and blue pasta necklace developing our fine motor skills, paint using the colours of our union jack and had the opportunity to eat at our Red cafe. We could try plum, strawberries, red grapes and red peppers. We were all encouraged to smell it, lick it and nibble each food item before choosing whether we like it or not.
