Year 6 blog, day 2:
What a fantastic second day we've had on residential!
We started the morning with a brilliant fry-up for breakfast, alongside cereal and toast, making sure everyone had full bellies and plenty of energy for the exciting day ahead.
Our morning activities saw half of the group heading out onto the water for kayaking, while the other half took on the assault course and tested their aim in archery. Everyone showed great determination, teamwork, and enthusiasm, with lots of smiles along the way.
After working up an appetite, we enjoyed a lovely lunch before heading off for our afternoon adventures. Some children took part in beach games, making the most of the sunshine and fresh sea air, while others challenged themselves with climbing and had the opportunity to experience absailing. It was amazing to see the children choosing their level of challenge and achieving some new heights!
To round off another fantastic day, we enjoyed a delicious dinner before gathering around the campfire for an evening full of games, songs, and plenty of laughter. It was the perfect way to end such a fun-filled day before our bedtime story and everyone getting tucked up into bed for a well-earned night's sleep.
It has been another action-packed day full of fun, laughter, and new experiences. We are so proud of how everyone has embraced each challenge, encouraged one another, and stepped outside of their comfort zones. We can't wait to see what tomorrow has in store!
