Year 6 blog:

Day three kicked off with bright skies, sandy shoes, and plenty of smiles as we headed down to the beach for a morning full of games and creativity. First up: beach sculptures! The children worked in teams to build everything from sea creatures to castles, using nothing but sand, stones, seaweed, and a lot of imagination. It was brilliant to see their teamwork and artistic flair on display!

Next came the Beach Olympics — a series of fun, fast-paced challenges that had everyone running, jumping, balancing, and laughing. We finished the beach session with a game of rounders, with some excellent batting, brilliant catches, and lots of team spirit.

After lunch and a short rest, it was time to face the high ropes! The climbing challenge tested our bravery, balance, and determination. With harnesses on and helmets secured, the children tackled the towering structures one by one. It was amazing to see so many being brave, pushing themselves out of their comfort zone and cheering each other on and feeling so proud when they reached the top!

Dinner this evening was a choice of chicken curry, veggie curry, or fish burger — the perfect fuel for what came next… the legendary Skern Disco! The energy was off the charts as the music kicked in. From “Crazy Frog” to “Gangnam Style” and even “Thick of It,” the dancefloor was buzzing with wild moves, singalongs, and big smiles. Whether they were pulling off choreographed routines or freestyle twirls, every single child brought their best energy to the party.

With tired legs and happy hearts, we finished the day on a high and made our way up to bed, ready for one last full day of adventure tomorrow.
