Year 6 blog:

Day 1 - Afternoon and Evening

After weeks of counting down the days, the moment finally arrived. After a swift coach journey our afternoon began with a spot of lunch and a guided tour of the Skern Lodge site.

Rafting was our first activity, and what a splash we made (quite literally). Working together to paddle and steer, the children showed brilliant teamwork. But the highlight? Turning one of the rafts into a makeshift water slide! There were squeals of laughter and shouts of joy as they slid into the water, again and again, embracing the fun with full energy and beaming smiles.

After drying off and warming up, we headed back for a well-earned dinner. The children tucked into bowls of pasta or mac and cheese followed by a delicious slice of cake for pudding.

The evening brought the final adventure of the day: wide games. With the sun beginning to dip, we took part in a scream race (yes, it’s as noisy as it sounds!), played a camouflage game that tested our stealth, and ended with a peaceful walk back to base along the beach watching the sunset.

Back at the accommodation, everyone gathered for hot chocolate and a cosy bedtime story before heading to bed for another fun filled adventure ahead of tomorrow.

Day 2 - Morning

All of the children slept well and are refreshed for another fun filled day! Everyone is looking forward to a hearty breakfast to fuel our activities!
